William N. McCoy was among the prominent members in the organization. He was a chosen and ordained Deacon and an appointed Singing Clerk.
William N. McCoy was one of five Trustees appointed to purchase a suitable plot of land on which to erect a meeting house and proceed to have it built. On Sunday, February 20,1820, one month less than a year from constitution, the church members worshiped in their new meeting house.
