Mr. Dutschke was a native of Ione, Amador county, where he was born Jan 18, 1889, the son of pioneer ranchers of the area.
For 54 years he had bee a resident of Lodi, having started his work in plumbing with Henderson Bros. when a boy of 15.
Later he opened his own plumbing shop and in February 1947, was named as plumbing inspector by the City of Lodi.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Hepper Dutschke, also the daughter of an Amador county family. The two would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Junt.
He leaves two daughters, Evelyn Watson and Donez Bailey.
Brother of Mrs. Hazel Sanguinetti and Mrs. Clara Williams.
He was an active sport enthusiast, delighting in baseball and football, a special fan of the Lodi high school football team since the days of Tony Donadio.
