MICHAEL STEPHEN LUCAS SR. CROWN POINT, IN Michael passed away May 5, 2014 with his loving wife, Olga, of 30 years by his side. He was born January 26, 1941 in the family home in Middlebourne, west Virginia. Michael was the youngest of 14 children. Michael leaves behind several children: Christopher (Tina) Lucas, Brenda Kay (James) Gallagher, Michael Jr. Lucas, Curtis (Carol) Fields, Carol (Randy) Zart, Wendy (Gerald) Hoefling, Troy (Sandi) Fields, and Andrew Macaluso. Also left to morn in his loss are his grandchildren: Christopher Jr., Brian, James, Justin, Gus, Amanda, Morgan, Jacob, Alicia, Shannon, Kira, Brooke, Charlie, Julianna, Ben. Great grandchildren, Emily, Kali, Brooklyn, Colton and Jase. Michael's surviving siblings include his sisters: Nancy and Francis; and his brother Donald. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mary Lucas, six sisters and five brothers. In his free time, you would find Michael at the golf course or in the garage wood working on a new piece of furniture for the family. Michael will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Michael's funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 South Cline Ave., Schererville, IN 46375). Friends and relatives are invited to meet with the family on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
