Jo Ann "Granny" Haggard Griffith passed awayTuesday morning, May 6, 2014 at her residence in Adina. Funeral services will be at 3 pm, Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Adina Christian Church with Pastor Freddy Murphy officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Adina Christian Church. Burial will be at Adina Cemetery.

Jo Ann was born February 16, 1941 to Virgil and Mildred (Morrison) Haggard in Pleasant Hill. She attended Lexington schools, graduating in 1959. She married Earl Wayne Griffith on February 3, 1960 in Elgin, Texas. She worked all her life, but her passion was to be the best wife, mother, ‘Granny' and friend. Granny loved to cook, garden, being outside and her chickens. She will be fondly remembered for all the vacation bible school memories.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mildred Maxine Haggard; and brother, VT Haggard.

Jo Ann is survived by her husband, Earl Wayne Griffith of Lexington; sons, Darrell Griffith and wife Sandy of Lexington, and Terry Griffith and wife Johnna of Lexington; daughter, Kimberly Malkey and husband Edward of Lexington; grandchildren, Michael and Erin Griffith, Tracy and Eric Pillack, Jackie and Daniel King, Brian Griffith, Savannah Griffith, Timothy Griffith and Destiny Griffith; great grandchildren, Tristan and Natalie Griffith, Katelyn and Beau Pillack, Ashton and Trevor King, Destiny, Alex, Coylton, Evelyn, Bryson and Fayth Duncan; sisters, Joyce Hamff and husband Clarence of Dime Box, Tommye Sue Moore and husband David "Mo" of Giddings, and Beverly Wilson and husband James of Giddings; aunt, Dorothy Williams and husband Harold of Killeen; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.

Pallbearers are Michael Griffith, Eric Pillack, Daniel King, Russell Dismukes, Jason Dismukes and Jimmy Wilson.

Honorary pallbearers are Clarence Hamff, James Wilson and David "Mo" Moore.
