Born March 12, 1915 in Greensburg, she was the daughter of Ben and Mary Worst Schoettmer. She was married to Roy Baumer on June 5, 1937, and he preceded her in death on May 2, 1981.
She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church in Batesville, Holy Family Catholic Church in Oldenburg, Ind., Ripley County VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Batesville, Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary of Batesville and Knights of St. John Ladies Auxiliary at Oldenburg.
She is survived by three sons, John Baumer, Oldenburg; Thomas Baumer, Batesville; Rodney (Rocky) Baumer, Batesville; one daughter, Mrs. Ron (Marlene) Mollaun, Lawrenceburg, Ind.; one brother, Eugene Schoettmer, Oldenburg; two sisters, Mrs. Herman (Clarabelle) Suttman, Oldenburg, and Mrs. Warren (Mary Louise) Allen, Lawrenceburg; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Bernard Schoettmer, and a sister, Mrs. Irene Fritsch.
Services will be tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church at Oldenburg. Father Gabriel Buescher OFM will officiate.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Batesville, with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made c/o The Jennifer Bergman Lung Transplant Fund, Batesville.

Luella was the second child born to Bernard Charles Schoetmer and Mary Frances Woerst Schoetmer. She was also the second daughter.
