Carmel W. 'Steve' Stehenson, age 81, passed away Janurary 8, 2006 in Tulsa. He was born May 20, 1924 in Rock Creek, Arkansas and was the son of W.M. and Cora (Treat) Stephenson.

He grew up in Harriet, Arkansas, moving to Tulsa in 1948 and began to work for the National Tank Company where he worked until 1957 when he and his brother Joe became partners in Service Stations. From 1965 until now he also owned and operated Steve's gas and car wash which is in the 4300 block of Charles Page Boulevard (old Sand Springs Line) in Tulsa.

Him and Boma Jean loved having a house full of family and friends, traveling and most of all, they enjoyed a great life together. They are both terribly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, Jerald David of Everett, WA, and a grandson Matt.

Survivors include one daughter and husband, one brother and wife, one sister; one brother and wife, twelve grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral services were Janurary 11, 2006 at the Broadway Baptist Church in Sand Springs. Funeral services were at the Broadway Baptist Church in Sand Springs with Dr. Clyde Herring officiation. Burial was in the Woodland Memorial Park in Sand Springs.
