Mr. Adam Bodell, who was born, reared, and lived nearly all his life in this place, died at the Soldiers Home, Richmoad, Va., last week. He became an inmate of the Home about eight or ten years ago. He was aged about seventy-eight years. An extract from a letter received by his niece, Mrs. John W. Burke, of this place, furnishes the following particulars of his death, as far as we have been able to ascertain them:

MRS. BURKE - It becomes my painful duty to inform you of the death of your uncle, Adam Bodell.

He was nicely Interred in Hollywood cemetery on the evening of November 24th, Dr. L. R. Mason, the Episcopal minister, officiating, as all the Methodist ministers were out of the city at conference

In my opinion he died a triumphant Christian death as he had lived. He was a particular friend of mine and he always was very kind to me. I send you a postoffice money order for five dollars which he said he wanted your son to have.

Respectfully,
Jas. E. Heath,
Lee Camp Soldiers'Home, Richmond, Va.
