James M Washburn, 68, died Saturday, March 29,1975, in Nix Hospital, San Antonio Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 1, at 2 p.m., in Schaetter Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ted Leonard and Rev. Charles Hare officiating. Burial followed in the Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Washburn was a retired Civil Service electronic engineer. He and his wife lived at 128 Ridgewood in Carriage Hills. He was born Nov. 8, 1906, in Beaumont, the son of Joseph Howard Washburn and Ann Dean Washburn. He married Myrtle Harris April 15, 1933, in Port Arthur, and she survives him. Other survivors, in addition to his wife, are one daughter Jane, Mrs Robin Robinson of London, England, and one son, James S. Washburn, Austin; also one sister, Margie Washburn of Port Arthur. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Washburn and a half-brother, Homer Walden.
