Michelina (Connie) Doborwicz, age 89, of Shelton entered into rest on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Gardner Heights Health Care Center. She is the devoted wife of Walter Doborwicz. Mrs. Doborwicz was born in Derby, on June 4, 1924, daughter of the late Alfred and Angelina (D'Elia) Pisacane and was a lifelong Shelton resident. She is the beloved mother of Robert Doborwicz and his fiancee Mary Critchett and Richard Doborwicz and his wife Isobel, sister of, Frank Pisacane and his wife Marie, Alfred Pisacane and his wife Dorothy and Noami Guerra. Mrs. Doborwicz is the loving grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Doborwicz is predeceased by two brothers, Daniel and Salvatore Pisacane and a sister Sue LaRosa. Friends may call on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. On Friday, her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church. Her burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
