Funeral services for Edward Walter Hanzik, 53, of Needville, were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday from the First Baptist Church in Needville, with the Rev. A.E. Allmon officiating.
Mr. Hanzik passed away Wednesday, November 9, in Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Hanzik was a native Texan, and has lived in Fort Bend County for many years. He was a farmer.
Included among his survivors are his wife, Mrs. Liddie Hanzik; daughter, Miss Barbara Hanzik, both of Needville; four sons, Melvin of Houston, Lee Roy of Rosenberg, Edward Jr. of Rosenberg, Larry of Needville; two sisters, Mrs. Jerry Brdecka of Rosenberg, Mrs. Milton Hartfield of Damon; two brothers, H.J. of Bay City, Oscar of Freeport; his mother, Mrs. Anna Hanzik of Rosenberg; and four grandchildren.
Interment was in the E & R Cemetery of Needville. Arrangements under the direction of Garmany & Company Funeral Directors, Needville.
