Mrs. Clayton moved to Lodi in 1961. She worked for The Elizabeth for 20 years before retiring and was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church.
She was known as the lady living across from Emerson Park who kept "an eye" on it.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Clayton.
Mrs. Clayton is survived by a sister,Inez Nelson of Washington.
