MAYSVILLE, Mo. - Basil Anthony Gallus, 85, Maysville, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2005, at the Sunset Nursing Home in Maysville.

Mr. Gallus was born April 26, 1919, to Anthony and Anastasia Hlavac Gallus at Maysville, DeKalb County, Mo.

A farmer, he was a graduate of Maysville High School and a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church of Maysville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Margaret Gallus, Adelia Moody, Irene Gillette, Sister Anastasia (Helen) Gallus and Pauline Rathburn; and four brothers, Justus Gallus, John Gallus, Frank Gallus and Elmer Gallus.

Mr. Gallus is survived by two brothers, Robert Gallus and Hubert Gallus, both of Maysville; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Maysville, with Father Paul Turner officiating. Burial will be in St. Munchin Cemetery, Cameron, Mo. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday, March 18, at Bram Funeral Home, Maysville.
