He was a native of Gordonsville and
the son of the late Robert Burtram
and Beulah Timberlake
McDonald. He was a mechanic
for Ivy Agee from 1936 to
1942, then working for TVA in
construction as a mechanic and
welder and retiring 1981. He
was a farmer, a member of the
New Middleton Masonic
Lodge #249, F&AM, and the
Temperance Hall United
Methodist Church. He was
preceeded in death by a son,
Robert Smith McDonald in
1994.
