Donna Roseanne Tucker Hise, 87, of Kensington, Ga., died on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at her home.
Donna was born August 10, 1934, to the late Floyd Allen Tucker and Ruth Estelle Jackson Tucker. Also preceded in death by her husband, Willis Edward (Nook) Hise and daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Hise.
Donna taught school at Center Post in LaFayette, Cedar Grove School in Kensington, West LaFayette, and Gilbert Elementary. She retired with 30 years of service. She raised four children and took college classes several nights a week until she graduated from West Georgia College and went on to get her master's degree. She enjoyed teaching very much.
Donna was a child of God and devoted believer in Jesus Christ. She especially enjoyed a ladies Bible study that met weekly at Cedar Grove Community Center. She loved each of the ladies and they had a very special place in her heart.
Donna is survived by her two daughters, Martha (Danny) Weaver and Janet (Joe) Pryor; two sons, Ed (Stella) Hise and John Hise all of Kensington; 11 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Whispering Oaks – Hise Family Cemetery, with Pastor Glenn Roberts officiating.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
