She attended Arcadia Public Schools.
On Oct. 2, 1926, she married Raymond Holcomb. During her lifetime she was first wife, mother and grandmother but she also had many other occupations as farmer and trucker with her husband. She also was a dress shop manager, hotel manager, Legion Club manager and Red Cross Chairman.
Mr. Holcomb died Dec. 28, 1978. In 1980 Mrs. Holcomb moved to the Hawthorne Manor.
In 1976 she was awarded the Golden Citizenship Award. She enjoyed working on the Park Committee, crocheting, sewing, crafts, making Afghans and flower gardens.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley (Mrs. Edwin) Hruby of Scappoose, Ore., and Shayrell (Mrs. Gene) Cox of Arcadia; two sons, Douglas of Arcadia and Boyd of Pontotoc, Miss.; 29 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Von Lea Holcomb, two brothers, Everett and Jim Webb and three sisters, Mona Jones, Nellie Brown and
Opal King Harrison.
