Alline Ballard Marshall, Co-Founder and longtime resident of Fellowship Valley Ministries, Clarkesville, Georgia passed away in Cumming, Georgia on July 14, 2013 at the age of 84.

Ms. Marshall was born on December 26, 1928 in Albany, Georgia. She was the daughter of Sam Hawkins Marshall and Edwina Davis Marshall. She received her bachelor's degree from Agnes Scott College with a Phi Beta Kappa Key. She earned her Master's Degree in microbiology from Columbia University and then worked towards a Doctoral Degree from Emory University. She continued her education at Slone Kettering Institute in New York studying cancer research techniques and teaching Botany at Barnard College in Manhattan. Ms. Marshall also taught Botany and Microbiology at Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia. In 1970 she was called into missionary work at Christian Literature Crusade, a foreign mission organization near Philadelphia doing editorial proofreading. In 1974, she became a missionary to the Philippine Islands.

In 1977, she co-founded Fellowship Valley Ministries in Clarkesville with Bonnie Hanson. Their amazing story of 30+ years can be found in Bonnie's book, "Two Weak Women and Amazing Grace".
She is survived by an older brother, Charles M. Marshall and a younger sister, Anne M. Hicks, as well as several nephews and two generations of nieces and nephews.
