Mrs. Neomi Hawke 1847 Pioneer, Dead
SALT LAKE, July 25 - Pioneer day brought the death of Mrs. Neomi Hawke, a pioneer of 1817, in a local hospital yesterday afternoon at 4:20 o'clock.
Mrs. Hawke, who was four years old when she came to Utah, was not a member of the first party, but came soon after in the same year. She was the daughter of William and Phoebe Brown, both of whom died at Bountiful many years ago.
The deceased leaves two daughers, Mrs. L.A. Wheat and Mrs. E.B. Gallagher, and eight grandchildren. The funeral arranagements have not been announced.
