Eleanor "Elna" E. Simms Stansell was the 4th daughter and the 6th child of William Edward Simms and Malinda Catherine Templin Simms and a sister to my paternal great-grandfather, Jacob Milton Simms. She married Dr. Jesse Payne "J. P." Stansell, DDS in 1881. J. P. and Elna had 3 daughters, the first daughter died at 3 years old then they had 2 more daughters. While delivering their 4th child, Elna and the child died in childbirth. It's so sad for two young lives to be cut so short. I wish I could have know them all.
