Robert Wayne "Butch" Sivells, 71, Trigg County, died Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Hamby Cemetery.


Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West with the Rev. Bradley Cornelius officiating.


Hughart and Beard Funeral Home is assisting the family.


A native of Hopkinsville, he was born Nov. 27, 1942, the son of Charlotte Sivells, Hopkinsville, and the late James Eddison "Ed" Sivells Sr.


He was a retired coal miner and was a truck driver. He was an Army veteran and served as a paratrooper. He attended Gracey West Union Baptist Church.


In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Jennifer Sivells; two sons, Scotty Sivells, Knoxville, Tenn., and Mike Dickerson, Earlington; a daughter, Brittany Sivells, of the home; a brother, Mike (Janice) Sivells, Hopkinsville; two sisters, Linda HOffman, Arlington, Va., and Diane Hardick, Hopkinsville; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
