STOCKPORT -
Roy F. Hartleben, 78, of Stockport Route 3, died at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday (March 27, 2001) at his home.
He was born April 13, 1922, in Parkersburg, to Fred and Nellie Archer Hartleben. He was a blueprint foreman for Macomber Steel in Canton for 24 years. He was also self-employed at H&l Timber in Dale. He attended Mountain State College in Parkersburg for two years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion in Beverly.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen Yglesias Hartleben; three sons, Eric Hartleben of Stockport, Fred Hartleben of Lewisville and Jerry Hartleben of Canton; one daughter, Betty Joe Hendrickson of St. Marys, W.Va.; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bob Hartleben of St. Marys and Hubert Hartleben of Stockport; and one sister, Betty Heim of Ocean View, Miss.
He was preceded in death by his
parents.
Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill. Burial is in Taber Ridge Cemetery in Stockport. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
