She was born May 4, 1922, in Hibbard, Idaho, to Horace Edward Fullmer and Mary Magdalene Pfost Fullmer. She grew up and attended schools in the Rexburg and Blackfoot areas, graduating from Blackfoot High School in 1940. She continued her education at Idaho State University, eventually earning a master's degree in education with doctoral level certification. During World War II, she taught school in Wilson, Wyoming, and Moreland, Idaho.
On June 24, 1945, she married Boyd "Bud" Thomas Shindurling in Blackfoot. In 1957, they were sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She and her husband moved to Idaho Falls in 1950, and operated Bud's Market. She was a teacher at Whittier (Bush), Templeview, Osgood, Emerson and Eastside Elementary Schools and served as Director of Elementary Education for District 91. She was Principal at Osgood, Emerson, and retired as Principal of Edgemont Elementary School in 1985. Donna served President of Idaho Principals' Association. Following retirement, she moved with her husband to Jackson, Wyoming, where they managed Pioneer Homestead Apartments. After 12 years, they moved back to Idaho Falls. Her "Buddy" passed away in July, 2004.
Donna was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings including Regional Camp Director, Stake Young Womens' President, Relief Society President, Stake Librarian, and Temple Worker. She and Bud enjoyed square dancing, golf and their Boston pups.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at the Idaho Falls LDS Stonehaven Ward (2055 Coronado Street) with Bishop David Standley officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and on Saturday from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
