Services for Robert Lynn Marsh, 69, of Tyler, will be held on Wednesday, April, 30, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Gage and Jerry Johnston officiating.
Burial will follow at Bascom Cemetery in Tyler under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Mr. Marsh passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 at The Hospice of East Texas.
He was born July 7, 1944 in Crockett to Hardrict Ervin and Vannie Mae Beard Marsh.
Among the many things Robert enjoyed, his favorites were hunting, fishing and playing pool. Robert was a professional calf roper for many years, for the last 30 years he was a blade operator in excavating work.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by two sisters.
He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 16 years, Linda Marsh of Tyler; daughters, Cathy Carpenter and husband Joe of Tyler, Elaine Martinez of Chandler; step-daughter, April Martin and husband Robert of Tyler; son, Chad Marsh of Yantis; grandchildren, Austin, Logan and Rylan Carpenter, Kyla Martinez, Brandon and Tristin Martin, Devin and Taylor Marsh; brother, Jim Marsh and wife Jane of Trinity; sisters, Shirley Adamick and husband Florence of New Waverly and Mildred Gaskins and husband James of North Zulch, also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Lavon Cochran, Roger Tinney, Lance Tinney, Floyd Ellison, Johnny Stoker and Tim Beggs.
Visitation is scheduled from 6:00 –8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
