CHARLES FRANKLIN BROWN, well-known farmer of Mt Pleasant, died at his home Friday at 10:30 pm, aged 70 years.

He was a son of the late John H and Hannah Shepley Brown.

He was a devoted member of the Middletown Lutheran Church.
He was a member of the Jr. O.U.A.M., No 127 of Jefferson.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Laura Summers Brown; children, Mrs. Carrie Grove, at home; Mrs. James Whipp, Williamsport; Mrs. Edgar Poffenberger, Broad Run; Oscar Brown, Mt Pleasant; Clarence Brown, Jefferson; Theodore Brown, at home; Mrs. Howard Burrier, Walkersville; Mrs. Harry Staley, Bloomfield; and John Brown, Mt Pleasant; brothers, Henry, Manuel, and Elmer Brown, all of Harmony; sister, Mrs. John Masser, McKaig; 33 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Services Monday at 10:30 am at Middletown Lutheran Church; interment in cemetery adjoining. Arrangements handled by M R Etchison and Son funeral directors.
