Services for Mrs. Agnes Leonard, 79, were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Presbyterian Church in Wakefield, Nebraska. Rev. Dana White officiated.

Agnes, the daughter of Jacob and Wilhelmina (Sandlin) Ockander, was born November 12, 1901 at Bancroft. She passed away January 30 at the Wakefield Health Care Center.

As a young girl, she worked in Sioux City where she met and married Gunnar Albrektson on December 28, 1927. They lived on a farm near Bancroft and were the parents of a daughter, Wilma Lou. He passed away in 1933.

On September 8, 1943 she was united in marriage to Earl Daniel Leonard at Madison. They lived on a farm near Wakefield and had a son, Earl Dean.

After Earl passed away in 1948, Agnes continued to live on the farm until she moved into Wakefield. Agnes enjoyed living on a farm and she like to hunt and fish. She called the Presbyterian Church her church and she was also a member of the Pleasant Valley Aid.

Survivors include a daughter, Wilma Lou Eckert of Dixon; a son Earl Dean Leonard of Norfolk; a brother, Ira Ockander of Bancroft; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands and ten brothers and sisters.

Interment was in the Wakefield Cemetery with the Bressler Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements
