Mildred Adeline Austin, 94, wife of the late Jennings Lemuel Austin, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014 in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
Mrs. Austin was born April 8, 1920 in Union County, North Carolina to the late Henry Brown Biggers and the late Mamie Lougene Biggers.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Evelyn Biggers, Helen Lowder and Hester Ross; and brothers, Henry Brown Biggers, Jr. and John Heath Biggers.
The funeral service will be held Monday, April 28, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Hopewell Baptist Church, 420 Hopewell Church Road, Monroe, North Carolina, officiated by Rev. Brian Austin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service.
Survivors include son, Jennings (Marilyn) Austin, Jr. of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; grandsons, Rhett (Michelle) Austin, Kevin (Brooke) Austin, Kent (Lee-Ann) Austin; and four great-grandchildren.
