Born in New Madrid, MO to Catherine and Lawrence Hurst, she was raised in Bonne Terre, MO. Alice graduated from High School and moved to Carlisle, Pa where she met her husband to be Edwin F. Kitner. She traveled throughout the US and Europe with Edwin (retired Major while he served 22 years in the Army).
She enjoyed playing piano, doing crafts and gardening.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary, wife of Mike, Gail and Barbara, siblings Benton, Margie, Phillip and Elaine, grandchildren DJ husband of Joan, Theresa and Colleen and great grandchildren Tyler and Brooke. She was preceded in death by 6 siblings and granddaughter Jennifer.
