Phyllis Hollars Dotson, age 92, formerly of Deerfield Road, Boone, died April 22, 20l4. She was born November 21, 1921 in Watauga County. Phyllis was a retired receptionist from Watauga Medical Center and previously worked several years for Belk department store.
She is survived by her son, Reyd Dotson and wife, Sandra, and granddaughter, Annika Dotson, all of Golden, Colorado. She is also survived by three sisters, Grace Fabisak of San Diego, CA., Rena Davis of Banner Elk, and Pat Willetts of Greensboro. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, McDonald Dotson; son, Alton "Keith" Dotson; brother, Creed Hollars; and her parents.
Funeral services were held at the Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Dr. Sonny Younce. Burial at Mountlawn Memorial Park.
