Hammink, Kathleen

After 92 years of strong connections to faith, family, and friends, Kathleen Hammink left this earthly life to meet her Lord on September 13, 2012.

Born and raised in Edgerton, MN, Kathleen Baker married Jerry Hammink and made the shift from farm girl to city girl. A lifelong member of the Christian Reformed Church, her strong faith was central to her life. Kathleen treasured the many close friendships she had with a variety of people throughout the course of her life. Over the span of seven decades she nurtured and loved her six children, eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Anne Kok, her husband Jerry, her three siblings, Art Baker, Allie Pool, Tim Baker, and many in-laws.

She will be remembered with love by her children and their partners: Terry & Pat Hammink, Paul Kok, Jean Hammink & Tom Duke, James Hammink & Eva Hildebrand, Bill & Marie Eve Hammink, Lori Hammink & Craig Meyer; grandchildren and partners: Gerard Hammink, Tricia & Chris Hall, Kristen & Brian Hager, Scott Koke & Leslie Skelly, Tao Hildebrand, Nathalie Hammink & Raul Flores, Matthew Hammink & Lucia Lemus, Guy Hammink; great grandchildren: Andrew, Peter, Sophia, Mezi, Jordan, Milo; sisters-in-law Greta Johnson & Sandy Sonterre; cousins, and many caring nieces and nephews.

Memorial service at Faith Christian Reformed Church, New Brighton, MN on Monday, September 17 at 1:30 pm. Visitation to precede service from 12-1 pm at the church.

Memorials preferred to the Anne Kok Memorial Scholarship Fund, St. Paul Interfaith Network, and Faith Christian Reformed Church.
