Janet S. Wege, 83, of Hanover, died Monday, Nov. 25 at Homewood at Plum Creek, Hanover. Born Nov. 19, 1919 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Anne McLaughlin Smith. She was predeceased by her husband, George M, Wege, in 1992. She retired in 1981 from Wege Pretzel Company, Hanover, after 35 years of service, She was a member of the Harvest Time Temple, Hanover.

She is survived by two sons Donald G. Wege of Hanover and Alan R. Wege of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a daughter, Pat Good of Hanover; five grandchildren; and a sister, Edna Brodbeck of York. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Bridgette Wege.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 29, at Hicks Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Ave., McSherrystown, with Rev. Fred Mummert officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Harvest Time Temple, 700 Black Rock Road, Hanover, PA 17331.
