Alfred Sforza

Alfred Sforza, 82, of East Syracuse, passed into peace at Francis House. For many years Alfred was a Teamster working for various companies. After his retirement he enjoyed working for Agway in Fremont and as a job coach for Unity House. He served in the Air Force during WW II and was a member of the VFW Post 9596. Alfred enjoyed painting, woodworking, bowling, and will be remembered most for his special meatballs and sauce lovingly prepared using his own homegrown tomatoes.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 53 years, Hilde; two daughters, Arlene Sforza of Chittenango and Dianne Tassie of Liverpool; three grandchildren, Sonja Christou, James and Allie Tassie; three great- grandchildren; several nieces and a nephew.
Funeral Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Eaton-Tubbs-Schepp Funeral Home, Burial, White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt. Calling hours 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville.
