Halvor Halsan, one of the oldest residents of the county, passed away Sunday at the home of Henry Eggen, where he resided with his sister, Mrs. John Eggen. Mr. Halsan left no children, and was an uncle of Mrs. Henry Eggen. He is survived by another sister living in Norway, and a number of nieces well known in Moe and Garfield. He was born in Norway in 1836, in Levanger, and came to America in 1870. He was for many years a resident of Minneapolis and came to this county about thirteen years ago, to make his home with his sister, Mrs. John Eggen. The services were held on Tuesday from the East Moe church, the Rev. Mr. Magelson officiating.
