Alice Marie Myers. 82, of Gassaway, WV, went to be with the Lord on Sunday Evening, December 18, 2022. She was surrounded by family and friends from across the world.

She was born August 22, 1940, in Braxton County to the late Aleen Smith Baker and David "Davie" H. Baker, Jr.

As many of you know, she was a spirited, loving, a kind and gentle soul. Always the adventurer and never one to pass up a chance to be with her beloved family. She recently traveled to Florida to visit her sons and their families in anticipation to celebrate the holiday season. With Christmas being her favorite holiday, it goes without saying she was beyond excited to celebrate Jesus's birthday. Within moments of stepping off the airplane, Alice never looked back. Enjoying wonderful dinners and shows with family and friends, reforging old bonds from decades past, taking in the holiday lights, making new friends, and putting a bow on her last-minute holiday shopping. However, while she was in Florida, God made the call that it was time for Alice to come home.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Danny A. Myers; her son, Paul Roberti; her first husband Bill Roberti; her sister, Mary Coleman, and many other loved ones waiting for her. Imagine the welcoming committee she received as she met her Savior. A blessing indeed.

With no suffering nor angst in her heart, nor trepidation, she left this earth on the eighteenth day of December at 5:03 PM, on Sunday, her favorite day of the week. Sundays were a day for her to enjoy ministry, the Bible, a little extra coffee, and of course, apple-smoked bacon. Alice had developed a sweet tooth over the last couple of years, enjoying fresh doughnuts and really good dark chocolate.

Alice Marie's Celebration of Life Service was held at 1 P.M. Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Gassaway United Methodist Church with Pastor Steve White and Reverand James Burrough officiating. Burial followed in the Beall's Mill Cemetery, Gassaway.
