Floyd Ray Askew of Bumpass, Virginia died Tuesday, April 8, 2014. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dora Lee Dunivan Askew, three sisters, Elizabeth Luck, Louise Askew Motley and Bertha Askew Burnside, two brothers, Silas Joe Askew and Eugene Askew and a grandson, Timothy Wayne Dunivan. He is survived by one daughter, Darlene Dunivan; two sons, Wayne and Ronnie Askew; two brothers, Angus Elmo “Bighead” Askew and Thomas Askew, ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Terry Gilbert at 11am on Friday, April 11, 2014 at Lacy Funeral Home with burial to follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, Mineral, VA. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Thursday, April 10th at Lacy Funeral Home, Rt. 522 Mineral, VA.
