"Charles Wesley Barrett, 81, Skidmore died at 4:45 p.m. Friday at the St. Francis Hospital, where he had been a patient for three weeks.
Born April 3, 1895, at Skidmore, the son of the late Robert and Margaret Barrett, he was married July 29, 1949, at Hiawatha, KS, to Edith Money, who survives. He was a member of the Burr Oak Church, near Skidmore, and the Skidmore Masonic Lodge.
Besides his wife of the home, he is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mary Runyon, Richmond, CA, and several niece and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Ellwood Barrett and a sister, Mrs. Rose Singleton.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, at the Skidmore Christian Church, where they body will lie in state from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Skidmore. They body is at Price Funeral Home."
