Edward “Pee Wee” Frampton Willing Sr. Owner & Operator B&W AIKEN - Edward “PeeWee” Frampton Willing Sr., 82, passed away at his home on Monday, April 21st, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. A lifelong nonsmoker, he was diagnosed with lung cancer three and half years ago. After the diagnosis, he persevered in the fight with cancer in his true “PeeWee” style, fighting with a strength, determination, and courage that only he had. Although the disease altered his world, it did not stop him from getting out and enjoying life as best he could. Unsurprisingly, PeeWee far exceeded medical expectations and beat cancer for years while still going to family breakfast at Hardee’s on Saturdays, trekking up to Columbia to scour the flea markets for deals (he’s probably talking God down on a bucket of old tools right now), and spending time with family at “the Pond.”

During these adventures, he allegedly “introduced grits to New York,” drove out of the Holland Tunnel as it was blowing up, and “sold more cars in 1958 than anyone on the east coast.” PeeWee owned and operated B&W, Inc. for over sixty-three years, selling used cars, trucks, and parts and helping folks on hard times when they were in a pinch. He also served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Those left to fondly remember PeeWee are his wife, Jewel Willing; children, Joan Johnston (Kevin), Susan Johnson, Martha Martin (Chuck), Eddie Willing (Tammy), Laura Deal (DeWayne), Patricia Reynolds (Debra Brock), Sharon Skipper (Ronnie); grandchildren, Patrick Schroder (Jennifer), Stuart Johnson (Brandi), Eric Johnston (Heather), Blair Grimes, Scott Johnson, Rob Johnston, Allison McLawhorn (Cecil), Patrick Skipper, Chandler Martin (Chelsea Stone), Ryan Martin (Ally), Corey Fanning (Malone), Andrew Deal, Harrison Martin, Alex Deal, Jonathan Fanning, Madison Martin, Abby Deal; great-grandchildren, Lily, Kylie and Emory Schroder, Alexandria Johnson, Ryleigh Johnston, Serra and Emilee "DeeDee" Ready, and Joshua Todd; his siblings, Frances (Broadus) Busbee, Helen Griffin and H.N. Willing Jr., and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Willing; his four sisters, Minnie Lee Force, Ruth Willing, Odessa Seigler, and Marie Creed; his brother, Lloyd Willing; a daughter Sarah Johnson; and two sons-in-law, Barry Johnson and Ken Johnson.
We will all miss his big smile, kind eyes, amusing stories, and his infinite passion for trucks.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, April 25th, 2014 at 11 o’clock in Aiken’s First Baptist Church with Dr. Fred Andrea officiating. Inurnment will be private.
