Homemaker Martinez, GA - Mrs. Minnie Lee Willing Force Chaney Hartz departed this life Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at Doctors Hospital and went to her Heavenly Home to be with her Creator, Sustainer, and Savior. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 11, 2009, at 3 p.m. at the Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William F. Harrell and Rev. Robert C. Rayner officiating. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Surviving Minnie, who was the eldest of the Willing children are: three brothers, H.N. Willing and his wife Ruby, Lloyd Willing and his wife Jimmie Ruth, Edward Willing and his wife Jewel; two sisters, Francis Busbee and her husband Broadus, Helen Griffin, all of the Aiken area.; grandchildren, Debra F. Cochran and her husband David, Jon M. Force and his wife Leslie, Marie Heard and her husband Earl, and Sheila Parker; many great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Minnie was born in Aiken County, S.C. on January 1, 1918 and went to School in Monetta, S.C. In 1938, she married John Heyward Force and of this union three children were raised: John H. Force, Jr., Augusta, Ga., Connie Jones and her husband, Carlton, Loganville, Ga., and Larry Force and his wife Connie, Grovetown Ga. Heyward died early in 1982. She then met Lige Chaney and married him in 1984. Lige departed this life in 1991 and after being a widow for 12 years, she met and married Warren V. Hartz, Jr. in 2003. Minnie loved boating, fishing, and traveling. She was a very faithful member of Abilene Baptist Church, joining the congregation when she and Heyward moved to Martinez. She was also a member of the Fidelas Sunday School Class. Contributions may be made in her honor to the Abilene Baptist Church Building Fund. The family will receive friends this Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Rd., Martinez. Florist deadline: 12 noon.
