Marie Louise Boudreaux Chapman was born to Cleopha and Melanie Boudreaux in Port Arthur, Texas on December 3, 1917 and passed away at home in Kirbyville, Texas on December 29, 2005. She graduated from Nederland High School as Valedictorian in May, 1935 and from Lamar Junior College in 1937. Marie married Wiley Doyce Chapman, Sr. on October 8, 1938. They moved to Kirbyville in 1952. In 1965 she graduated from Lamar Tech with a degree in elementary education and taught 18 years in the Kirbyville School system. Marie is survived by her children; Wiley D. Chapman, Jr. and wife Jackie; Beverly Hall and husband Mack; Ron Chapman and wife Jacque; Don Chapman and wife Kathy, and a brother, Dudley Boudreaux and wife Mildred of Port Arthur. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; Richard Chapman, Eric Chapman, Sarah Hall, Courtney Chapman, Ashleigh Chapman, Mary Chapman, Rebecca Chapman, Leah Chapman, and Hannah Chapman, and by four great grandchildren; Solomon, Cassandra, Nathaniel, and Naomi Chapman.
