IRENE BOUGHAN
Services for long-time Whatcom County resident Irene Boughan, 97, will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Greenacres Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Boughan, 205 South B.C. Ave., Lynden, died Saturday. She was born Oct. 31, 1892 in Durango, Colo., and had lived in Whatcom County for the past 49 years.
She was a member of the North Bellingham Grange and attended the Good News Fellowship Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Boughan, and daughters Lorene Petty and Wanda Eldridge.
Survivors include a daughter, Daphene Nelson of Ferndale, nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives. Pastor Eric Johnson will officiate at the service. Burial will take place in Greenacres Memorial Park.
