MRS. ELIZABETH THORNTON DIES OF HEART ATTACK

Mrs. Elizabeth Crowder Thornton, 67, of Huntington, widow of Grayson D. Thornton, former employee of the West Virginia State Liquor Commission, died of a heart attack yesterday morning at the home of a friend, Mrs. Flo Rush of 207 Montrose Dr., South Charleston.

Mrs. Thornton, formerly of Charleston, had been living at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Harold Schneikert of Huntington since the death of Mr. Thornton on Jan. 9, 1947. Mr. Thornton was warehouse superintendent.

Mrs. Thornton was born April 7, 1884, in Richmond, Va., daughter of the late William and Agnes McRae Crowder.

She was a communicant of Trinity Episcopal Church, Huntington.

Also surviving are another daughter, Mrs. A. Oscar Kraekenbuehl of Alexandria, Va.; two sons, Grayson D. Thornton Jr. of Proctorville, Ohio and Roger M. of Sewickley, Pa.; two sisters, Mrs. James B. Dowden, Richmond, Va., and Mrs. John R. King of Greencastle, Ind.; a brother, James R. Crowder of Colorado; and seven grandchildren.

Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. tomorrow in Barlow-Bonsall mortuary chapel by Rev. T. Hudnall Harvey.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
