George Scobell, a prominent Mason and for many years a well-known brewer and bottler, died Wednesday Emerson street, aged 70 years. Mr. Scobell was born in Canada and had lived in this country for the past 3 years, most of that time being spent in Watertown. For a number of years he conducted a brewing establishment at Cape Vincent and later was engaged in the bottling business in this city. He was very well known
and in his wide circle of friends and acquaintances, among the men who knew him best, he was highly esteemed. He was a member of all the Masonic bodies of this city. He is survived by a wife and two brothers, J. A. Scobell of Cape Vincent and Sidney Scobell of Rochester.
