He was born June 23, 1930 in Saybrook, the fifth son of Chester and Hanna Price. He married Janet Roark in 1956. She passed away April 8, 2005. He was also preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, one sister and two nephews.
Survivors include three children, Robin (Bob Sims), Doug Price and Tom Price; four grandchildren, Ash (Lisa) Hafley, and his children, Nicholas and Zachary; Brooke Amaireh and Bill Price and Megan Price; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Verna Howell and many nieces and nephews.
He served in the U.S. Army, earning a medal as a rifle sharpshooter. He was a roofer all his life and ran Price Roofing in Bloomington for more than 20 years.
