LuLu Hayes
LEWISTON, Idaho, Aug. 30. - Mrs. Lula Hayes, 87, who was born at Walla Walla, Wash., May 27, 1868, and lived in this section all her life, died yesterday at St. Joseph's hospital of a heart condition.
Mrs. Hayes had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. R. E. Harrahan, for the last 35 years. Mrs. Hayes was married at Lewiston in 1887 to Lewis Carter. They lived at Pataha, Wash., and he died in 1897. She married James Hayes in Lewiston in 1900, and he died in 1928.
Mrs. Hayes is survived by Mrs. Hanrahan; a son, Maurice Carter, Wawawai; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at St. Stanislaus Catholic church tomorrow morning at 10, with burial at Normal Hill cemetery. The body may be viewed at Vassar-Rawls funeral home until 9:30 a. m. tomorrow.
