William Allard, a native of Kentucky, was a son of David Allard and Mary Burleson. He worked as a physician in the Robbsville Community and lived most his life in Johnson County, Illinois. William is said to have been killed when a horse ran against with him and he bled to death; another story says he died of blood poisoning. He was buried in the Kerley Cemetery with an unmarked stone.
