Leota was united in marriage to Joseph T. Labesky on January 18, 1943, in Boise, Idaho. The couple returned to Aberdeen, where Leota continued to work at Tradehome Shoes for several more years. Leota and Joseph's marriage was blessed with two children, which she stayed at home to care for. In 1950, Leota began working at the S & L Department Store and remained there until 1964, when she became employed at Bostwick's. Leota retired in 1970 and became a member of AARP. She continued to make Aberdeen her home until the time of her death.
Surviving Leota is her husband, Joseph Labesky; one son, Thomas Labesky; one daughter, Gloria Henderson; one brother, Lyle Hormann; two sisters, Vi Hormann and Loretta Hauck; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.
Leota's parents and six brothers preceded her in death.
