Born in Panola, she was a daughter of Wilbur and Minnie Sakes Ioerger and the wife of Donald Skaggs. They were married in 1953, Pontiac, Illinois.
For several years Doris was an employee of Fieldcrest High School. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband; three children; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held in the Calvert and Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk. Inurnment took place in Minonk Township Cemteery.
