Lynn E. Bell, 68, of Iowa City, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014, at his home in Iowa City. A private family service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery. There will be no visitation. The Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree is caring for the arrangements for Lynn and his family. Lynn Edwin Bell was born on January 19, 1946, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Ralph E. and Mildred E. (Stych) Bell. He was a 1964 graduate of Lone Tree High School and at age 40 Lynn graduated from Kirkwood Community College with an RN degree. Upon graduation he was employed by the University of Iowa as a Psychiatric Nurse. Lynn enjoyed the Yankees, golfing, salt water fish, and cars.
Lynn will be missed by his children, Eric Bell and wife, Amanda of Cedar Rapids, Andrew Bell and wife, Josephine of New Canaan, Connecticut; five grandchildren; siblings, Neil Bell and wife, Mary of Coralville, Nyla Jane Neumann and husband, Arlin of Moline, Illinois and Cay Ann Wieland of Iowa City; aunt, Rae Chabel and husband, Lloyd of Lone Tree; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lynn was preceded in death by his parents.
