Ada Mitchell Carrigan left this world peacefully June 10, 2006 surrounded by her family who loved her deeply. She was born March 30, 1921 to William L. and Tekla Carlson Mitchell in Bingham Canyon, Utah. She married Thomas R. Carrigan in Midvale, Utah April 13, 1939. He preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Bingham High School. Ada was a member of the Bingham Civic Club, several bridge clubs, and was a longtime bowler. She enjoyed gardening and was an accomplished landscape artist. Ada was a longtime resident of Copperton, Utah. Survived by two sons, Tom (Mary) Carrigan and Dennis (Cheryl) Carrigan; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; also survived by a brother, William Mitchell; sister, Agnes Rice. She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Mitchell. The family would like to thank the staff at Legacy House Taylorsville; and especially, Julie, Cheryl, Steph-anie, Carol, and Michelle of Haven Hospice for their loving and compassionate care. Funeral services will be held Wed-nesday, June 14, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the Goff Mortuary 8090 S. State, where friends may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. or Wednesday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, the Salvation Army, or a favorite charity of your choice.
