Betty Jane Barnett

Betty Jane Barnett, 76, of Craigsville, Nicholas County, died Thursday, March 8, 2007, in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center at Covington, Ky.

Born Sept. 20, 1930, at Cinco, she was a daughter of the late Hunter Stinnett and Martha Hamrick. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Garcie Barnett.

She was a member of the Alderson Baptist Church at Craigsville and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her children, Gloria Snyder of Walton, Ky., Garcie Barnett Jr. of Hilliard, Ohio, Tina Grose of Lebanon, Va., and Bruce Barnett of Fairfax, Va.; three brothers, Delbert "Boyd" Stinnett and Paul Stinnett, both of Cottle, and Carl Stinnett of Georgia; one sister, Edwina Smith of Ohio; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2007, in the White Funeral Home at Craigsville with Pastor Eddie Groves officiating. Interment will follow in the Barnett Family Cemetery, near Sutton.

Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral services Monday at the funeral home.
