J. Alonzo Stahle, Jr., husband of the late Susan Bush Stahle, Wrightsville RD 1, died yesterday at 4:30 a.m. at a Harrisburg hospital. He was 88 years old.

He was born in Manchester Township, son of the late Col. James A. Stahle, Sr., a former congressman and Catherine R. Beltz Stahle.

A well-known musician, Mr. Stahle at the time of his death was the oldest living member of the Old Timers Club of the Spring Garden Band.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Frederic Hamme, Long Beach, Calif., two sons, James C. Stahle, Sr., Wrightsville RD 1 and Philip A. Stahle, Gardners; seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Rev. Herbert G. Kline, pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, will officiate at funeral services Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111Easy Market Street. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
