Solomon was the first storekeeper in Accident, Maryland. Solomon was the last survivor of his family, he died in Stonycreek in 1882, aged eighty-two years. He married Elizabeth Blough about 1820 in Somerset County, PA. He was the father of Daniel, John, Henry, Joseph, Tobias (who died in the Civil War), Sarah, Elizabeth, Mary and Catherine.
